I love baking!
Well both sort of baking, in the kitchen as well as on my face 😁 . It just not only instantly brightens up my under eye area, pictures come out to be bomb! From quite a long time I have been using Ben Nye Banana Powder for baking but the only problem I face is it is a loose powder and doesn’t come in a compact form. I was eyeing a budget friendly compact banana powder from quite some time and during my US trip I found Soap & Glory at the local Target store. Target is a drugstore/grocery store in the US which you will be able to find pretty much in every area of the city you are in. So basically if you are in US it’s easily available but for the people here in India, I guess many UK based websites have Soap & Glory else Instagram Stores to the rescue.
Soap & Glory Kickass Powder come in a black plastic packaging with a mirror. It’s nothing but a banana powder in a compact formed. Unlike the Ben Nye Banana Powder I use this not only for baking but also have used this for my entire face. I just tap lightly on my T-zone and to my surprise my face was oil free for a good 5hrs. That day I did an outdoor shoot with my friends and my makeup was fresh until I washed it off coz had nowhere to go 😂 . I just gives that blurring effect in the pictures without even applying filters. What’s better than that? If you are someone with dry skin then unlike any other powder with this powder too you have to be cautious not to use excess. If you are baking/contouring then don’t forget tap off the excess else it will show up on your skin like you have the powder on.
The pictures were taken after almost 3hrs of applying makeup. Still looked fresh.
The only problem I have with this powder is I am not sure if it’s travel friendly or not cause I am not very happy with the plastic used here and I have a feeling I may break it if not handled with care. But other than that I think it truly is amazing product and great for instant retouch.
I have also bought the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder along with the Soap & Glory Kickass Powder but I know I will be reaching out for this more as it’s compact powder and hence more handy.
Do we have great banana powders or yellow powders in India? Do let me know in the comments!
