How was your long weekend? We headed to Pondicherry over the weekend which was our impromptu plan as we didn’t want to stress ourselves roaming in the city/mall or should I say crawling (with the traffic) soooo Pondicherry 😀
Now coming back to the topic, last month I had a chance to collaborate with the Gillette Venus and they had a blogger’s meet for the first time in Bangalore. I got a chance to meet so many bloggers for the first time and of course great meeting all of them.
Apart from the beautiful bloggers I also got a chance to meet the beautiful Aesthetic Physician Dr. Rashmi Shetty who was there to bust out all the myths related to shaving, method of shaving and what precautions should be taken while shaving. They had also invited Radhika Pandit who is an established actress of the Kannada Cinema.
Speaking about Gillette Venus, Radhika Pandit said, “Basis my personal experience, I can confidently say that Gillette Venus products are skin friendly and are perfectly designed to suit every woman’s needs. I thoroughly believe that shaving is the best way of hair removal. Women simply need to know the right technique of shaving to get the best results. I’m glad to be a part of the Gillette Venus panel discussion that has given me an opportunity to educate women on the benefits of shaving and encourage them to consider it as a part of their beauty regime.”
Sharing her experience from the Gillette Venus Panel Discussion, Aesthetic Physician, Dr. Rashmi Shetty said, “I am pleased to be a part of this educative session where I can interact with the audience and break the myths around shaving for women. Contrary to the belief, shaving leads to darker skin or thicker hair growth is completely false. Hair growth is determined by the genetic or hormonal makeup of a person and has nothing to do with the hair removal method you adopt.”
As far as my hair removal method is concerned I always preferred waxing over shaving until last year when I was relocated to New York. Weather was bad and I had no one to ask from where to go for that monthly beauty regime 😛 hence shaving was the last resort. So I went to a drugstore and after looking at all the options I somehow zeroed on Gillette Venus, precisely because
- It had an angled curve which would adjust itself according to the curves of one’s arms or legs.
- It had 2 cartridges free with the pack. 😛 Okay don’t judge me but it was already expensive $18-$20 so two free cartridges was a deal for me.
And once I started shaving I felt I had less rashes on my hands as earlier plus with shaving every alternate day I was hair free all the time which is the best feeling in the world.
Of course I was petrified before shaving that what if my hair grows thick or my skin goes dark, there were so many questions in my mind as you really can’t just google things up as methods which work for others may not work at all for you. The best way is to try somethings yourselves. And it did work me. I was so ecstatic with the results that while coming back to India I bought a pack of 40-50 cartridges.
At the event most of the queries were:
- Will the skin go darker with the regular shaving routine?
- Does it remove the dead skin?
- Will the hair grow thicker?
- Will it effect the sensitive skin?
- Oil, Soap, Shower Gel or Shave Gel which is the best of all?
If you guys have any query please comment in the comment bar below without any hesitation as there is nothing wrong in hair growth and discussing the methods of hair removal and I would clear all your queries in my coming posts 🙂 and if you have any trick or tip for this do share with us 🙂
And yes I take up the #SubscribeToSmooth Challenge 🙂
