So Colourpop has an extensive color options in almost all the products whether it be eyeshadows, lippie pencils or ultra matte liquid lipsticks. There’s something for everybody. I have tried the eyeshadows and I just love the pigmentation though many of the ones I have, have a common black base color and then the shimmer/glitter color makes them different so to get the maximum intensity I am looking for a good base as my Inglot Eyshadow base is not of any use. Anyway that’s a different story, so recently I got hold of my first Ultra Matte Lipstick from Colourpop and it’s a new launch I suppose. It is called Scrooge and it is a bright red-plum shade.
The moment I applied this Ultra Matte Lipstick I wished that instead of getting the expensive Stila ones I should’ve gone for these and would have got 4 Ultra Mattes in the price of one Stila. Formula is so so so amazing. They are of course matte but the application is smooth and it almosts feels creamy until it dries. And unlike Stila All Day Long Liquid Lipstick which dries the instant you apply, it takes few seconds to settle and then it dries. So you have time for an even application and it is not even patchy when the lipstick dries.
It stays put for a good amount of time. Without any heavy meals or so it lasted for a good 6-6.5 hours. I tried rubbing it off with just water and soap. It didn’t buzz off, just a bit of the colour faded that’s all. So you might need an oil based make-up remover to wipe it off, if you don’t have one then you can simply use olive oil or coconut oil which are easily available in almost every household.
So in nutshell Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks have AMAZING quality at a really good price. I am definitely going to get everyday neutrals like Clueless which supposedly is a dupe of Stila Patina and Bumble for sure. Hope you like this review.
