Hope you all are doing good and enjoying the holiday season while sipping some hot chocolate 🙂 . So as I had mentioned in my previous post that I will be doing a collaboration with awesome blogger around and she is Rachna from Go Beauty Express and together we will share our skincare routines for this holiday season, few makeup looks and post party skincare routine with you all guys. The idea behind this is you guys will have a variety as both of us have a different skin type and if not that then at-least a different taste towards skincare, makeup and all. So I hope you guys will enjoy reading our skincare, makeup routine 🙂
These are the products which basically I am using on a daily basis these days without fail as the party season has just begun and I dont want to flaunt my dry skin.
So first let me tell you about my skin. I have a combination skin which by the way behaves weirdly. As soon as I take shower my skin is all dry so I have to apply lotion/face cream the moment I step out of the shower. And by the end of the day it is oily. Even if I use a pea size drop extra of my face cream my face becomes VERY oily so I select the creams which are not heavy on my face, not thick in consistency and yet hydrating.
For my face scrub I use The Body Shop Vit C Microdermabrasion, since this is not for daily use I use this twice a week. For daily the face wash I use by Biotique Pineapple Face wash as it is quite gentle on face and helps controling oil in rotation with The Nature’s Co. Coffee Scrub.
Post shower I use Murad Essential-C Day Moisturizer which is a 2-in-1 product. It acts as a moisturizer and helps preventing the skin from all the free radicals and of course is a great sun block. If I am heading out then I use Neutogena Pure & Free Liquid Suncreen for my face and the regular neutrogena sunscreen for my arms and foot.
For my hands and nails I am currently obssessed with The Body Shop Coconut Hand Cream and on my nails I apply Pura D’or Argan Oil as my nails were peeling off after the gel-nails, beacuse I got them removed here in India and I guess atleast in Bangalore they don’t have proper instruments/chemical treatment to remove them off so the nail technician literally had to scrape them off using a cuticle pusher. So basically my nails are in a real bad shape right now and this argan oil is surely doing magic for them as they are healing quite well and with the holiday season I want my nails to be in a good shape and color 🙂 .
I also use this Pura D’or Argan Oil in the night before going to bed. I wash my face and instead of wiping of the water I just pat my face with a towel and then use a drop of argan oil. Slightly wet face helps in spreading out the oil. It is very light and hydrating as my skin feels good in the morning. I feel good 🙂
So this is pretty much it about my not so fussy holiday skin care routine which is suitable for the weather we have here in Bangalore.
Had I been in Rajasthan at this of the year then just two go to products would be neutrogena sunscreen and a home made concoction of glycerine, rose water and lime juice which is the BESTEST thing ever as with just one day of use will leave the skin so soft and moisturised that one can use this every alternate day or so if not daily in such harsh winters.
So that’s all for skincare routine specially for the holiday season and if started on the right time one will surely be with a happy glowing skin with minimal makeup 🙂 Do check Rachna’s post which she will post very soon. 🙂
