Long long time! And seriously I am sorry about it. Since I came from Chennai in Feb a lot has been going on in my life, tutions exams and as soon as I was relieved from all of that I flew 1000 miles away! If you follow me on Instagram which by the way you totally should 😛 as now I really work hard on it! I am sure you will like it if not love it! We will get there soon, promise 😀 . So after all that ranting we should come back to this post. So I had my fare share of travel since my HK trip 😛 . HK-Jodhpur-Delhi-Jodhpur-Chennai-US and if you think it’s all done then no wait for sometime 😛 . Ok ok enough seriously so now coming back to my HK trip this was my in laws first International trip and they didn’t want any longer flights to travel to so we zeroed on HK. Not Singapore because we have been there (that was trip was a disaster according my husband as all we visited in 5 days was each n every mall on the Orchard Road and if not there then Mustaffa for some gold baby 😛 ) and not Vietnam either coz shopping 😛 .
So we had planned a 10 day trip to HK-Macau. While planning the trip we decided to go to Macau first because we knew we’d be shopping a lot in HK and we didn’t want to drag it to Macau so as soon as we landed we collected our bags and then we went to the bus stop right outside the arrival of the airport. Bus dropped us to the ferry terminal. Now one thing don’t forget to carry change. It’s really IMPORTANT as the lady at the ticket counter said if you don’t give change she won’t return the due amount. One mistake we did was we came out of the airport there was a connectivity to the ferry terminal from the inside of the airport. But once you are out, you are out no going back. Now at the ferry terminal there will be agents selling ferry tickets to Macau plus there will be registered ticket counters too. Calculate and go whatever works cheaper for you. We bought in black because it was cheaper for us and we didn’t have to wait anywhere in lines. It was close to 1.5-2hrs long ferry ride. Once you reach Macau and all the visa thing is done you will see a lot of Travel Agents asking for exorbitant price for some tours to some Church and things like that. Skip that we have all those things in Goa. Come out now the best part of Macau is ALL the major hotels have their shuttle buses which will drop you to most of the sight seeing places for FREE. We had booked our rooms in Venetian so just wait for bus load in your luggage and worry not.
We had lunch (packed from India) and rested for sometime and we were ready to see a few hotels. Macau has some Magnificent Hotels, and just sight seeing of these hotels will make your yatra safal. Believe me. We went to the hotel opposite to ours which by the way was at a walking distance. Hotel Galaxy and what magnificent hotel it was. Can’t express in words. After that came back to our hotel had dinner at the Indian Restaurant, Golden Peacock and then planned that we will roam around our hotel. Now every hotel has a mall in Macau (incase you want to shop there) and ranges from all brands mid to high end. Our hotel’s mall had this Venice theme going on (hence the name Venetian). In the middle was Gondola Ride and on both the sides were stores. And god it was HUGE. It took us almost 1.5-2 hrs to reach from one end to another. Pretty sight for eyes indeed 😀 .
Will share some pictures and will talk to you more on this later!
