How are you all doing? After all the crazy travelling I am pretty much back to the normal routine. For those of you don’t know I was in Jodhpur last month for about 10 days then went to Chennai to attend the wedding of my SIL. So Jodhpur is my hometown and this was the first time almost all of my cousins were visiting too so I got the chance of exploring so many places where I had never been to. I know it’s my hometown but I never got the chance to visit some places just because almost everyone in my family especially have been there when they were young so my turn came only when my cousin’s were visiting India. For example Mehrangarh Fort, I have been there only twice in my entire life so far and Umaid Palace just once 😒.
And after a fun trip to Jodhpur within a week we left for Chennai to attend the wedding which was so hectic by the way. Now when I recall that what all I did in the wedding, all I can think about is getting decked up for the functions or eat 😝. As soon as we came back to Bangalore I fell sick 😷😭. And now I am in no mood of doing makeup looks for some days because I am so tired 😴 and a bit bored too. Anyway before I forget the motto of this post (literally had to check the title 😛) today after a really long time I am reviewing on the blog.
So in the month of August last year I purchased three Body Scrubs 2 from Dirty Works and 1 from Anatomicals.
So scrubbing is a must for me when I take shower. When I use shower gel I scrub with the help of TBS Bath Lily. So when I ran out of my Forest Essentials Shower Gel I happend to stumble upon this brand called Dirty Works (via Corallista) and I had ordered 2 body scrubs Buff your Stuff & Coconut Body Scrub. There’s one more variation in Mint and will probably try later. Then I also placed an order for the Anatomicals Citrus Body Scrub.
- Anatomicals Citrus Body Scrub
Price ₹650 for 200ml
This body scrub comes in a pink tube with a yellow cap. Anatomicals is known for their quirky packaging. Almost all of their products are in solid bright colors with a yellow cap/lid. This body scrub is nothing but a sugar scrub. And it smells really nice and fresh and citrus-y. Though it doesn’t linger on for long, but that’s with almost all the shower gels/scrubs. It has pink gel with lots and lots of sugar like little particles which dissolve on the skin in no time. Using this is a bit time consuming as it dissolves quickly so I have to do my arms first then second arm then chin/neck area etc etc. I like to scrub my upper body every single day. It scrubs really well and my skin do feel fresh and smooth but the only problem I have with this is I have to use some sort of soap or a different body wash. It does a fantastic job of scrubbing but it doesn’t get rid of that oily feel around the neck and back. I like my body scrub as a 2-in-1 product. It should scrub well and also should wash out that greasiness around the neck.
- Dirty Works Buff Your Stuff
Price ₹540 (Originally ₹600 currently on discount)
Packaging of Dirty Works resembles that of Soap n Glory. Actually this brand make dupes of Soap n Glory stuff and at a much affordable price with a really good quality. Anatomicals one smells citrus-y and fresh and this one has calm soothing divine smell. I just loved the way it smells It has white body wash with pumice. I prefer Dirty Works Buff your Stuff over Anatomicals one just because it cleansed and scrubbed both at the same time and still left the skin moisturised.
I have used both the scrubs till the last drop and now I have started using the Coconut Body Scrub and it has a cute tropical packaging. It smells divine too thanks to the combination of coconut and almond oil but it is a really really gentle scrub. Like those small granules are there but they are so so so minute that it almost feels nothing. I think it’s good for the routine purpose and I can use Buff Your Stuff once in three days or so because that I am definitely repurchasing it is that awesome.
Dirty Works is easily available online at amazon.in and there’s always some discount on this brand. Definitely worth checking out.
