New York Diaries Vol. 1

Hi guys,

Successfully completed a month in New Jersey 😀 , why am I writing so as its so windy, so chilly out here. Temperature is always negative realfeel will be much lesser than that and to add cherry on top WIND (thank you for ruining my hair, each and every single time I step out). Anyways for two weeks we were put up in a hotel and later we shifted into the apartment with an incredible view.

So after all the shifting we decided to go to New York the very next day as it was not windy. We headed straight to the World Trade Centre, from there I wanted to explore SoHo. From there we headed towards some random street thinking that all will lead to SoHo anyway. That was the biggest mistake as in NYC you have to walk a lot. We were on Church Street and it took us about half n hr to reach SoHo Grand Hotel. I was like this is it? All I can see is dunkin donuts and pharmacy and drugstores all around. Where are those fancy stores of Kate Spade, J.Crew, Anthropolige, Bloomindales and blah blah blah. I was shattered. Checked maps (could have done earlier but phone’s battery was already dying). Then just explored a bit there roamed around the streets and saw many cute little boutiques (read: expensive) including Kate Spade and J.Crew and many other don’t remember the names now.

Finally we were on Broadway Street and there were so many stores all around. Michael Kors (every second woman carries MK! how boring is that same purse/bags all around), Bloomingdales, TopShop, Timberland and there were many shoe stores around like you will find some 5-6 stores consecutively after few steps. I was looking for winter boots and most of them were on Sale.

Almost finalised it in one store then checked on Amazon and it was cheaper online so… you know what 😛

Then we decided to go back home as we were really tired and I came across this huge huge store of accessories, just the accessories and its name was So Good Jewelery. I couldn’t resist and bought 5 pair of earrings for 10$ 😀 . There were deals for earrings buy 5 for 10$ and for statement necklaces buy 3 for 10$. Huge collection took almost half n hr in deciding what to purchase.

So that’s all about my SoHo Trip. Wanted to explore more but couldn’t as we were tired and it was dark. May be next time 🙂
